MULTIPLE NODULES OF LIVER TUMOR, Dr PHAN THANH HẢI, MEDIC MEDICAL CENTER, HCMC, VIETNAM

ONE MAN 54YO WITH GI TROUBLE, ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND DETECTED MULTIPLE NODULES OF LIVER TUMOR, WELL BORDERED, HYPERECHOIC AND INTRATUMORAL MICROCALCIFICATION.



SONOLOGIST SUGGESTED THAT HCC, AND WAITING FOR BLOOD TEST AND CT SCAN OF LIVER.

But we don't thing it is HCC. It is like metastasis from GI LOWER TRACT. We try again with ultrasound, and find that lesion of thickening the wall of rectum.


Endoscopy and biopsy confirm that  an adenocarcinoma of rectum.

Summary: Ultrasound oriented quickly diagnostic technique but not in wrong way.

I think metastasis of liver from colon cancer
Suggestion: abdominal MSCT,CT colonography
